Diane Hovan, Paralegal at Calhoon and Kaminsky P.C., will be volunteering for Wills for Heroes, a nationwide program to provide free estate planning services to first responders, their spouses and significant others. Police officers, firefighters, paramedics and correction and probation officers are some of the first responders who can benefit from Wills for Heroes. The services provided include wills, living wills, healthcare and financial powers of attorneys.
Two events are scheduled for the Harrisburg area from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.:
Saturday, February 5, 2011, Harrisburg River Rescue & Emergency Services, 1119 S. Cameron Street, Harrisburg
Saturday, February 12, 2011, Swatara Township Municipal Building, 599 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg
First responders will first complete an estate planning questionnaire, meet with a volunteer attorney, and then have the documents prepared, signed and notarized.
